The Harding Street Church of God Mission and Values

When Jesus told his disciples they were the light of the world, he was giving a message that modern Christians need to take to heart as much as the original Christians. As servants of Jesus Christ, we are a reflection of his light in actions, conversation, attitudes, dress, commitment to God and the way we treat those who cross our paths. We believe that it is this commitment to Christ that will provide a light for those who are lost in the darkness of sin to find their way back to the lover of their souls: Jesus Christ. For this reason, we have made a commitment to become living sacrifices in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with a clear understanding that we are not better than anyone else. Instead, we fully acknowledge we are what we are today because of the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who translated us from the power of darkness into his marvelous light. Christ's gift to us was not a result of any works of righteousness that we have done. Instead, we are who we are today purely by the grace of God. With this in mind, we use the Bible as a guide to instruct us in the way of Christ that we may fulfill his desire for us to be lights in the world.
